Welcome to  the Agami Heron Photography website. This site is dedicated to Wildlife Photography and especially Bird Photography.

One of the main pages of this site is focused on the rare and secretative Agami Heron, which was photographed at the colony at Explorers Inn - which is one of the largest in the world. I have visted Explorers Inn, Peru on a number of occasions and photographs from here can be found on the Peru pages for August 2004, July 2005 - February 2006, January 2007 and January 2009. These include some great images of Hummingbirds, Tamarin Monkeys and also plenty of Reptiles and Amphibians. 

A trip to Japan in March 2008 produced some amazing photographic opportunties including five species of Owl inc Blakiston's Fish Owl, Ural Owl and the rarely photographed 'Okinawa' Collared Scops-owl, four species of Cranes and plenty of Gulls and Ducks.

For Wildlife Photography trips to Kenya and Tanzania can hardly be rivalled and my trip in October 2007 was no different. Easy pickings with the camera included Lions, Rhinos and plenty of Antelopes, and bird wise Lesser Flamingo, Lilac-breasted Roller and Kori Bustard being amongst my favourites.

The once in a lifetime trip to Antarctica in December 2003 was very successful, producing some great photos of Penguins, Skuas and plenty of Seals inc Leopard Seal and Weddell Seal.
